Based on our Founding Statutes, the European Network for Public Administration (ENPA) seeks to advance academic research and higher education for public benefit by promoting knowledge creation and dissemination in the interdisciplinary fields of public administration, public management, public governance and public policy across Europe.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to serve as an independent learned society for the advancement of public administration, public management, public governance and public policy scholarship in Europe, and to connect with scholarly associations inside and outside of Europe.

Our Objectives

  • Developing and supporting an international network of scholars and experts in the areas of public administration, public management, public governance, and public policy that facilitates the exchange of knowledge, expertise, experience, and understanding across this European scholarly community, related to other academic disciplines and communities ;

  • Promoting scholarship in public administration, public management, public governance and public policy (particularly in comparative perspective), and its use in public sector organisations through other relevant activities, including the facilitation of international research consortiums.

  • Organizing conferences and events that provide platforms for the dissemination and transfer of academic and professional knowledge and practices

  • Developing and pursuing appropriate publication strategies for the diffusion of scholarly knowledge (as well as relevant information for the community) and developing appropriate media of communication

  • Supporting new and emerging members of the European scholarly community in the fields of public administration, public management, public governance and public policy during their early career stages

  • Developing collaborations with other academic associations at regional, national, European, and international levels to further the mission of the Association

  • Promoting scholarship in public administration, public management, public governance and public policy (particularly in comparative perspective), and its use in public sector organisations through other relevant activities, including the facilitation of international research consortiums.
