Travel Options: Airport to City Center

The Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP), commonly known as Otopeni Airport, is located about 20 km north of Bucharest. It is Romania’s largest and busiest airport, with direct flights to major destinations worldwide. Depending on the means of transport and time of travel, reaching the conference area in downtown Bucharest takes 30 to 50 minutes.

Entry & Visa Information for Romania

EU / EEA / Swiss citizens

Citizens of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland may enter Romania through any border crossing point by presenting a valid identity document (passport or national ID card accepted by Romanian authorities).

EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may enter and reside in Romania under the right of free movement in accordance with EU rules and Romanian legislation.

Citizens of other countries

Citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA may require an entry visa to travel to Romania. Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the intended duration and purpose of stay.
